8 self-care quotes to remind you to take better care of YOU!
A few months ago I shared a quotes post and it’s one of my most popular posts on Pinterest, so I’m guessing lots of you like quotes too!
I’m a big believer in the power of well-placed to lift the spirits and soothe the soul.
Quotes are also a great way of sharing everyday wisdom. Wisdom we’re often too busy, and too caught up in the day-to-day to remember. Just like self-care.
All mums, but especially single mums, need to make self-care a top priority. We’re no good to anyone else, including our kids, if we don’t.
It might feel indulgent to take a day off to go to a spa with a friend – I did this last week! – but it isn’t. It’s essential self-care that enables you to be a better you, instead of a frazzled, exhausted, mess.
So, I suggest picking your favourite amongst these and putting it up somewhere you’ll see it every day. Hopefully it’ll remind you to take a few moments – or perhaps a whole day – for yourself.
Then read THIS POST to come up with a few self-care ideas and get them booked into your schedule!

8 | “Sometimes self-care is exercising and eating right. Sometimes it’s spending time with loved ones or taking a nap. And sometimes it’s watching an entire series of television in one weekend while you lounge around in your pyjamas. Whatever soothes your soul.”

Yes! I need all the reminders I can get! I used to have a little inspirational quote stuck up on my wall but it got lost when we moved house and I never replaced it. You have given me some great choices for my replacement! #brillblogposts
Glad to hear it Lucy!
